Mr. James Thompson Jr., 60, of 1454 Red Banks Road, was born November 15, 1948 and departed this life Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mrs. Florence Dial Thompson and his sister Mrs. Betty J. Hunt.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Listern Dial, Bobby Deal and Kent Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Ms. Lillian Thompson; three daughters: Mrs. Latonia Graham and husband Mr. Chris, Ms. Latoya Thompson all of Pembroke and Mrs. Kynia Johnson and husband Mr. Bobby of Lumberton; his father: Mr. Jimmy James Thompson of Pembroke; a brother: Mr. Marshall Thompson of Maxton; two sisters: Mrs. Pattie T. Dees of Maxton and Mrs. Vickey L. Woodard of Lumberton and six grandchildren: Kristina Graham, Ryan Graham, Chelesa Locklear, Elijah Johnson, Dylan Thompson and Devin Sampson; a lifelong friend: Mr. Charles McNeill; two special nieces: Krista and Kayla; four special nephews: Brian, Bret, Corey, Keegan and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 26, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
