MAXTON
Mr. Ray Strickland, 67, of 1022 Island Grove Road, was born October 28, 1939 and passed from this life into a life of eternal peace on Sunday, February 11, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents: James & Annie Strickland and two brothers: Charles T. Strickland and Ted Strickland.
The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church with the Rev. Perry Roberts and Bro. Eugene Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife Pandora B. Strickland of the home, two daughters: Michelle Strickland Frizzell and her husband: Dean Frizzell and Stephanie Strickland Chavis and her husband: Delwood Chavis; four grandchildren: Justin Blake Strickland and his fiancé: Krystal Michelle Carter, Anya Shalee Chavis, Kristen Mataya Chavis, and Kenan Reese Frizzell; a sister: Joan Carol Locklear and her husband: Denzel Locklear; two brothers: Fred Strickland and Michael Strickland.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 13, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
