Mr. Earl Scott, 66, of 139 Annie’s Road, Pembroke was born February 15, 1942 and died, Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mrs. Annie Scott; his father: Mr. Andrew Scott; two brothers: Mr. Bill Scott and Mr. Donald Ray Scott; four sisters: Ms. Wanda Scott, Mrs. Sarah Jane Revels, Ms. Pearlie Scott and Ms. Doscha Scott.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Union Chapel Community Baptist Church with the Revs: Jimmy Strickland and Willie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Mr. Scott is survived by his son: Mr. Earl Scott, Jr. of Pembroke; three step-children: Mr. Tony Curtis Scott, Ms. Linda Oxendine both of Pembroke and Mrs. Jenny Scott Price of Fayetteville; five brothers: Mr. Thomas Scott, Mr. Delton Scott and Mr. Charlie Scott all of Pembroke, Mr. John Scott of Rennert and Mr. Michael Scott of Lumberton; four sisters: Mrs. Nancy Bullard, Mrs. Betty Sue Bullard, Ms. Annettie Scott and Ms. Winnie Scott all of Pembroke; two loved grandchildren: Miss Sierra Colleen Scott and Mr. Dakota Gage Scott both of Lumberton; four step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild: Jayden Locklear; a special friend: Ms. Monnie Scott of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
