Mrs. Rosie Lee Revels, 84, of 2139 Philadelphus Road, was born January 6, 1925 and died Friday, January 16, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Lindsey & Mrs. Ella Ree Revels. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Ander Revels; three sisters: Mrs. Dice Lowry, Mrs. Allie Mae Lowry and Mrs. Mary Ree Revels and two brothers: Mr. Ernest Revels and Mr. Henry Revels.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at Island Grove Baptist Church with the Revs: Larry Locklear, Kent Chavis and Grady Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are three sons: Mr. Gerald Revels, Mr. Dale Revels and his wife: Mrs. Brenda both of Pembroke and Mr. Michael Revels of the home; three daughters: Mrs. Patsy Hair and her husband: Mr. Johnnie of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Rosetta Jacobs and her husband: Mr. James of Shannon and Mrs. Clara Faye Oxendine and her husband: Mr. Spencer of Lumberton; one sister: Mrs. Herline Goins of Maxton; a sister-in-law: Mrs. Lorraine Revels of Pembroke; twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
