Ms. Vivian Mullin Oxendine, 64, of 480 Crecent Drive, Pembroke was born September 6, 1947 and died Friday, November 4, 2011, at her home. She was preceded in death by her father: Mr. Warford Maynor and her mother: Ms. Edna Bell Oxendine Smith.
She was a devoted and proud member of Green Pine Freewill Baptist Church. She was employed 23 years at UNC-Pembroke and retired in 2008.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Green Pine Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Clifford Locklear and Andrew Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Pine Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a step-father: Mr. Charles Smith; a son: Mr. Osceola Mullin and his wife: Mrs. Tina of Maxton; two daughters: Ms. Dawn Oxendine of Pembroke and Mrs. Adriane Mullin-Dawson and husband: Edwin of Zebulon, NC; eight grandchildren: Justin Oxendine, Amiee Lee, Kyle Lee, Sean Jones, Taylor Mullin, Sierra Mullin, Aidan Dawson, Reed Dawson; one great-grandson: Naylon Oxendine; three sisters: Mrs. Carla Kay Locklear, Ms. Fredia Bullard and Ms. Kayron Maynor all of Pembroke; four brothers: Mr. Leon Smith of Red Springs, Mr. Jessie Mitchell Smith of West Virginia, Mr. Harry Locklear and Mr. Warford G. Maynor both of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 7, 2011, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home. |
