Ms. Jessie Lee Oxendine, 58, of 300 Hoover Road, was born March 25, 1949 and died, Monday, August 13, 2007, at Linkhaw Place in Lumberton. She was the daughter of the late: Mr. Willie C. & Mrs. Jennie Oxendine of the Prospect Community. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Willie M. Jones, Georgia Oxendine and Sadie Mae Oxendine; five brothers: William Oxendine, Jr., James Alton Oxendine, Rady Oxendine, Grady Oxendine and Infant Oxendine.
The funeral will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2007, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: Randolph Oxendine, Grady Chavis and Richard Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anna Church Cemetery.
Surviving are two brothers: Vanzetta Oxendine of Rialto, CA and Andrew C. Oxendine of Pembroke; six sisters: Loretta O. Oxendine of Pembroke, Mozella O. Locklear of Burlington, Ella Mae Taylor of Charlotte, Annie Mae Jones of Pembroke, Patricia Faye Cummings of Pembroke and Brenda Faye Oxendine of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 16, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
