Mr. Henry Ward Oxendine, 88, of 2050 Cabinet Shop Road, was born April 19, 1923 and died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Burleigh & Mrs. Anna Oxendine and his wife: Mrs. Lastelle Deese Oxendine.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Bear Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Timmie Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a son: Mr. Stevie Oxendine and a daughter: Ms. Charlotte Pearl both of Rowland; two brothers: Mr. Plummer Oxendine of Laurinburg and Mr. Montie Oxendine of Lumberton and a sister: Ms. Nora Demery of Lumberton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home. |
