Mr. Dean Everette Oxendine, 53, of 475 Jimmy’s Farm Drive, Pembroke, was born October 11, 1954 and died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was the son of the late Mr. A. D. Oxendine and Mrs. Martha Locklear Oxendine.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: David Locklear & Steve Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Family Cemetery.
Mr. Oxendine is survived by his wife: Charlene Locklear Oxendine; a daughter: Ms. Deanna Oxendine; three brothers: Mr. Willie Oxendine, Mr. Adie Ricky Oxendine and Mr. James L. Oxendine all of Pembroke; twelve sisters: Ms. Marie Jacobs, Ms. Daisy Sampson, Ms. Clara Demery, Ms. Carolyn Carter, Ms. Susan Demery, Ms. Yvonne Locklear all of Pembroke, Ms. Linda Hall, Ms. Frances Locklear both of Lumberton, Ms. Susan Reed, Ms. Darla Reed, Ms. Millie Hyatt all of Asheville and Ms. Jane Reed of Ohio and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
