Ms. Winnie Scott Locklear, 78, of 131 Annie’s Road, Pembroke, was born June 13, 1930 and died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Andrew & Mrs. Annie Scott; three brothers: Mr. Earl Scott, Mr. Bill Scott and Mr. Donald Ray Scott; four sisters: Ms. Wanda Scott, Mrs. Sarah Jane Revels, Ms. Pearlie Scott and Ms. Doscha Scott.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Mt. Calvary Church with the Revs: Ken Simmons and Jimmy Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Ms. Locklear is survived by five brothers: Mr. Thomas Scott, Mr. Delton Scott, Mr. Charlie Scott all of Pembroke, Mr. John Scott of Rennert and Mr. Michael Scott of Lumberton; three sisters: Ms. Annettie Scott, Mrs. Nancy Bullard and Mrs. Betty Sue Bullard all of Pembroke; a special niece, her care-giver: Ms. Veronica Scott; a special friend: Mr. Harvey Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
