Mr. Vernon Locklear, 85, of 627 Jaycee Hut Rd, was born December, 28, 1922 and died Monday, January 14, 2008.
The funeral will be conducted 7:00 p.m. January 16, 2008 at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Stephen Dixon and Rev. Johnnie Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Mary Frances Locklear of the home; three sons: Mr. Bobby Locklear, Mr. Samuel Locklear, and Mr. William David Locklear all of Pembroke; a daughter: Mrs. Dale Gregory of Lumberton; a brother Mr. Waltz Locklear of Pembroke; four sisters: Mrs. Mary Chavis, Mrs. Goldie Cox, Mrs. Omie Jean Locklear all of Lumberton and Mrs. Desser Graham of Pembroke; four grandchildren: Bobbie, Marcus, Eric, and Tracey; five great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jordan, Skylar, Marissa, Ethan and a host of relatives and friends.
