PEMBROKE
Mr. Venus Ray Locklear, 52, of 103 Cornith Road, Harris Mobile Home Park Lot 23, was born February 26, 1954 and died, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father: Luke Locklear and his mother: Pearlie Locklear. He was a construction worker until 1983 when he became disabled to work.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home with the Revs: Rocky Ray Williamson, Jackie Maynor and Donnie West officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife: Joyce O. Locklear of the home, a son: Daniel Locklear of Shannon, a brother: Lee D. Locklear of Pembroke, four sisters: Curlin Locklear of Pembroke, Mary Lee Barkley of Trinity, Brenda Harrelson and Noralene Locklear of Lumberton and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
