Obituaries

Mrs. Thelma Mae Locklear                                       Lumberton      Mrs. Thelma Mae Locklear, 87, of 149 Alton B. Road, was born April 23, 1923 and died, Friday, June 25, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House.  She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Alton B. Locklear and her parents: Mr. D. L. & Mrs. Susie Locklear and a daughter: Ms. Margaret Locklear.      The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2010, at St. Pauls Holiness Church with the Revs: Daniel Evans and Everette Woods officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.      Surviving are four sons: Jimmy “Budy” Lambert of St. Pauls, Corey Locklear, Landon Jones and Elbert Locklear all of Lumberton; three daughters: Glenda Locklear, Jasmine Locklear and Lou Lambert Bell all of Lumberton; a sister: Asa Erman Mae Oxendine of Pembroke; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.      The family will receive friends Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
