Mr. Richard Ray Locklear, 37, of 2532 Cabinet Shop Road, was born February 16, 1970 and died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Mr. Ardell & Mrs. Bessie Locklear and his paternal grandparents: Mr. Early & Mrs. Callie Brooks.
The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Edward Brooks, Phillip Locklear and Timmy Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his parents: John & Ruby Locklear Brooks; two brothers: Gregg Locklear and Johnathan Brooks both of Pembroke; two sister: Patty Fay Locklear and Charleen Brooks both of the home; four nephews: Ridge Locklear, Cameron Jacobs, Timberland Jacobs and Hilton Brooks all of the home; a niece: Taylor Jones and special friends: Nacoma Locklear, Tasha Locklear, Ms. Emma Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, July 14, 2007, at Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church.
