Ms. Marie Dial Locklear, 49, of 609 McInnis Street was born September 5, 1959 and departed this life on Friday, June 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father: Mr. Harlis “Billy” Dial and her grandparents: Mr. Lewis & Mrs. Zora Cummings and Mr. George & Mrs. Jessie Dial. Marie was a wonderful nurturing mother, her mom would say she’s my friend, sister and daughter. You are loved and will be missed dearly.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Prospect United Methodist Church with the Revs: Mattheue Locklear and Dufrene Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her mother: Ms. Molly Jane Dial of Pembroke; a daughter: Seslie Locklear of the home; three sons: Shawn & Misty, James & April and Christopher & Kayla; one sister: Marlita D. Moore; two brothers: Harlis (Buddy) Dial & Wilma and Harlon R. Dial. Five grandchildren: Austin, Tristan, Dustin, Aaliyah, and Camden; two special nieces: Mallory E. Dial and LaShonna Dial; six special nephews, one great nephew, one great niece and special friends: Hiram Harris, and Danny Katekovich all of Pembroke.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 15, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear and Son funeral home.
