Mrs. Margaret Lee Locklear of 2151 US Hwy 74 West, departed this life on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2:59 in the morning at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She came into this life on January 4, 1938 and left us at the young age of 69. Mrs. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Harvie Locklear; her parents: Mr. Roosevelt & Mrs. Grace Locklear and a brother: Mr. James Earl Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Riverside Independent Baptist Church with the Revs: Jerry McNeill and Jerry Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnt Swamp Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Locklear is survived by her son: Mr. Harvie “Buddy” Locklear, Jr. of Norwalk, CA; three daughters: Ms. Sybil Locklear of Lumberton, Ms. Sandra Casler of Hemet, CA and Ms. Cindy Jasina of Moreno Valley, CA; a brother: Mr. Leroy Locklear of Hope Mills; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren that she held dear to her heart and a special friend: Mr. Sterling Lowery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
