Mr. Joseph Ira Locklear, 70, of Joe’s Road, was born July 25, 1941 and died Monday, November 21, 2011, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Jessie & Mrs. Mary Lee Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011, at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Lindbergh Chavis and Jimmy Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anna Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Susanell Brooks Locklear of the home; two sons: Mr. Rudy Locklear of Pembroke and Mr. Reedy Barton of Hephzibah, GA; two daughters: Ms. Sue Ellen Locklear-Hunt and Mrs. Ira Joeanna Locklear-Oxendine both of Pembroke; a brother: Mr. Hervie Stenson Locklear of Fairmont; five sisters: Ms. Madis Maynor of Michigan, Ms. Zadie Ray Locklear, Ms. Myrtle Locklear-Agee, Ms. Vida Francis Locklear all of Pembroke and Ms. Bertis Lee Brown of Hayesville, NC; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home. |
