Obituaries

Mrs. Janie Faye Locklear                                         Pembroke      Mrs. Janie Faye Locklear, 66, of 394 Lonnie Farm Rd., Pembroke was born July 2, 1943 and departed this life on Sunday April 4, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her mother:  Mrs. Sarah Clark and father:  Mr. Vander Clark; a brother:  Mr. James A. Clark.      The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with the Revs: Steve Strickland and Adrian Hammonds officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.      Mrs. Locklear is survived by her husband: Mr. Billy Eugene Locklear of Pembroke; three sons:  Mr. Eugene Locklear of Pembroke, Mr. Shannon Locklear of the home, and Mr. Johnny D. Locklear of Pembroke; a daughter:  Mrs. Linda Sue Locklear of Lumberton; three brothers:  Mr. Arthur Ray Clark, Mr. Arnold Clark both of Pembroke, and Mr. Melton Clark of Red Springs; five sisters:  Mrs. Lorraine Sampson, Mrs. Winnie Locklear, Mrs. Rocky Maynor, Mrs. Marina Sanderson all of Pembroke and Mrs. Rosalyn Lowery of Lumberton; four grandchildren of Pembroke; and special friends:  Mrs. Terri Lynn Hammonds of Pembroke and Mrs. Carolyn Jacobs of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.      The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Locklear and Son Funeral Home.
