Ms. Helen Locklear, 67, was born February 12th, 1940 until her passing on January 3rd, 2008. Born and raised in Pembroke, North Carolina to Mrs. Callie J. Locklear and Mr. Douglas Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Simmie Barton officiating. Burial will follow in the Harpers Ferry Church Cemetery.
Ms. Locklear is survived by one son Mr. Michael Locklear of Virginia Beach, Virginia and three granddaughters Miss Mackenzie Locklear and Miss Madeline Locklear of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Miss Franchesca Locklear of Saddle Tree, North Carolina and one brother Mr. Jerry Locklear of Jupiter, Florida and a host of relatives and friends.
Ms. Locklear completed 2 years at Pembroke State College. After completing these 2 years she moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Then pursued a career in sales and restaurant service. Then she returned to Robeson County, North Carolina to care for her mother and then continue her restaurant service career at Western Sizzlin. Ms. Locklear touched the lives of many people. She will greatly be missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 5, 2008 between 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
