Mr. Floyd “Bo” Locklear, 69, of 735 Soloman Rd., Pembroke, was born January 11, 1941 and departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his father: Mr. Luther Locklear and his mother: Mrs. Mandy Jones Locklear; three brothers: Mr. Marce Locklear, Mr. Martin Locklear both of Red Springs and Mr. Curtis Locklear of Fairmont; two sisters Mrs. Zula Canady of Lumberton and Mrs. Joyce Jones of Virgina.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at Riverside Independent Baptist Church with the Revs: Jerry McNeill, Terry Locklear, Gary Locklear, and Jimmy McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the Lowery Family Cemetery.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife of 47 years: Mrs. Judy Ann Locklear of the home; two daughters: Mrs. Ginger Jacobs and husband Mr. Gregory Jacobs, Mrs. Sherrie Harris and her husband Mr. Credence Harris all of Pembroke; three brothers: Mr. Marvin “Top” Locklear of Pembroke, Mr. Archie Locklear and Mr. Marvin “Snapper” Locklear, Jr. both of Red Springs; five sisters: Mrs. Margie McNeil, Mrs. Grace Hammonds, Mrs. Doris Chavis, Mrs. Shirley Scott all of Lumberton and Mrs. Janie Voice Locklear of Red Springs; five grandchildren: Misty Jacobs, Ryan Jacobs, Gabriel Jacobs, Brennen Harris and Tyler Harris all of Pembroke; four great-grandchildren: Naryiah Jacobs, Robert Brandon Barnes Jr., Miley and Tanley Locklear all of Pembroke; a special niece: Miranda Oxendine and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2009, at Locklear and Son Funeral Home.
