Mr. Fennie Lloyd Locklear

                                             Pembroke
    
Mr. Fennie Lloyd “Fuzzy” Locklear, 59, of 296 Lockwood Drive, was born August 9, 1951 and departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Ashley & Mrs. Sarah Ann Locklear and a brother: Mr. Robert Dial.
    
After graduating from Pembroke Senior High in 1970, Fuzzy enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He served his country well as a Sgt. in Ubon, Thailand.  After leaving the Air Force he attended Robeson Community College obtaining degrees in welding and electrical engineering.  Fuzzy loved life and became a friend to everyone he met.  Two of his passions were hunting and fishing as a member of the Timber Oak Hunting Club.  He was the owner of Lockman’s Construction until declining health forced him to retire.
    
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Pembroke Gospel Chapel with the Revs: Thurman Scott & Gregory Lowery officiating.  Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
    
Surviving to cherish his memories are his loving and faithful wife of 37 years: Mrs. Alice Faye Locklear; two sons: Mr. Timothy Lloyd Locklear and Mr. Corey Lynn Locklear all of the home; two brothers: Mr. Dane Locklear and Mr. Ted Locklear both of Rowland; four sisters: Mrs. Gladys Oxendine of Pembroke, Ms. Shelby Dial of Laurinburg, Mrs. Dorothy Cummings of Rowland and Mrs. Tessie L. Locklear of Maxton and a host of relatives and friends.
    
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 21, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
