MAXTON
Mrs. Eva Mae Locklear, 86, of 1336 Old Baker Road, was born August 24, 1920 and died, Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband: Earnest Locklear; her mother: Betty Owens; two brothers: Luther Caulder and Lonnie Caulder and a granddaughter: Jeannie May Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church with the Revs: Donald Bullard, Roger Adkins, Horace Oxendine and Gregory Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Surviving are five sons: Telford Locklear and his wife: Gloris, Elmer Locklear and his wife: Queen E., Mearle Locklear and his wife: Dyanne all of Maxton and Kenneth Locklear of Pembroke; two daughters: Retha Mae Burrow and her husband: James of Fallbrook, CA and Sandra L. Locklear and her husband: Bradie of Rowland; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
