Ms. Estelle Locklear, 60, of 657 John L. Rd., Maxton, was born March 13, 1947 and departed this life Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at UNC Hospital–Chapel Hill. She is preceded in death by five brothers: Mr. James Locklear, Mr. Bobby Locklear, Mr. Jobie Locklear, Mr. Ernest Locklear and Mr. Junior Locklear; one sister Mrs. Maze Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 2:30p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2007, at East Maxton Church of God with the Revs: Roderick Carter and Donald Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear & Bell Family Cemetery.
Ms. Locklear is survived by two sons: Mr. Josh Locklear and Mr. Ricky Locklear; two daughters: Ms. Kathy Locklear and Ms. Charlotte Locklear all of Maxton; a brother: Mr. Billy Dane Locklear of Charlotte; a sister; Mrs. Sally Ann Locklear of Rockingham; four grandchildren: Miss Sakoia Abbi Anderson, Miss Mindy Locklear, Miss Natile Nacole Locklear, and Master Marcus Ray Locklear; one great-grandchild: Master Myles Shane Parker; two beloved friends: Mrs. Rebecca Bell and Windy Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
The Family will receive friends Saturday, November 17, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
