Mrs. Delilah S. Locklear, 51, of 171 Lonnie Farm Road, was born June 23, 2958 and departed this life Sunday, July 12, 2009, along with her daughter Erica at their home. She was preceded in death by her brother: Derwin Strickland.
The funeral will be conducted 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with the Revs: Steve Strickland, Adrian Hammonds and Dr. Michael Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Airy Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a son: Billy Ray Locklear, Jr. and his wife: Natula; two grandchildren: Lakota and Elan all of Conway, SC; her parents: Reggle & Edith Strickland of Pembroke; a brother: Reggle Strickland, Jr. and his wife: Darbie of Pembroke; a sister: Denise Cooper and husband: Jeff of Laurinburg; 6 nephews and 2 nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
