MAXTON
Mr. Crumie Locklear, 75, of 101 Harley Drive, was born August 5, 1932 and died, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie & Mary Frances Dial Locklear and a daughter: Denise Locklear. Mr. Locklear was a store owner & operator and one of the original D&L singers.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Kelvin Locklear, Listern Dial & Scotty Deal officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife: Viannie Locklear of the home; four sons: Mack Locklear, Joe Locklear, Stacey Locklear all of Maxton and Terry Locklear of Hamlet; four daughters: Betty Locklear, Shelia Locklear both of Maxton, Cynthia Locklear of Rowland and Jennifer Locklear of Pembroke; two brothers: Tyronne Locklear and Sterlin Locklear both of Maxton; five sisters: Pearlie Locklear, Rosie Locklear, Helen Grammer, Martha Hunt and Mary Locklear all of Maxton; twenty-three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends, Monday, October 15, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
