Obituaries

Ms. Mary Jerrett                                         Rowland      Ms. Mary Jacobs Jerrett, 91, of 256 Awesome Drive, was born December 25, 1918 and graduated into glory, peacefully in the arms of her son, on Wednesday, July 14, 2010.  She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Gary Jerrett; her parents: Mr. Wesley & Mrs. Emma Jacobs; three brothers: Mr. Joe Locklear, Mr. John Wesley “Can” Jacobs and Mr. William David “Doll” Jacobs and two sisters: Ms. Winnie Locklear and Ms. Lizzie Jacobs.      The funeral will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 19, 2010, at West Robeson united Methodist Church with the Revs: Herbert Lowry, Gary Chavis and Jonathan Pipkin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery.      Surviving are a son: Mr. Marsh Jacobs of the home; two brothers: Mr. Daniel Jacobs of Maxton and Mr. Erwin Jacobs of Lumberton; two sisters: Ms. Willie Mae Deese of Maxton and Ms. Lucy Jacobs Locklear of Pembroke; three grandsons and a host relatives and friends.      The family will receive friends Sunday, July 18, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
