Ms. Nina Jacobs, 48, of 7668 Hwy 72 West, was born October 22, 1961 and died Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father: Alton Locklear; maternal grandparents: Roy & Strawdy Cummings; paternal grandparents: K.C. & Ila Mae Locklear and a brother: Roy K. Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Strickland and Bro. Harlie W. Locklear, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Surviving are a son: Torey Jacobs and his friend: Constance Locklear; a step-son: Shaun Chavis and his friend: Callista Chavis; a daughter: Sandy Kay Jacobs and her friend: Joseph E. Rice; her mother: Clara Mable Hunt; the father of her children: Archie Mack Jacobs; a brother: Dwayne Locklear and his friend: Madeline Lowery; her father-in-law & mother-in-law: Archie & Hazel Jacobs; four grandchildren: Nathan Jacobs, Caleb Jacobs, Eric Jacobs & Joseph E. Rice, Jr.; step-grandchildren: Kaitlan Chavis & Shaun M. Chavis; special friends: Carl Oxendine & Myrna Jean Gist; special nieces: Joy Kayonna Locklear and Maranda Oxendine; her home health nurse: Lisa Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 26, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
