Mr. Clarence Jacobs, Jr., 74, of Maxton, was born July 31, 1934 and departed this life on Sunday, May 10, 2009. He was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Jacobs, Sr. and Ms. Dorothy Jacobs. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church with the Revs: Jerry Locklear & Cliff Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Mr. Jacobs leaves to cherish his memory a daughter: Ms. Shirley Oxendine of Pembroke; his step-mother: Ms. Dorothy Jacobs; four brothers: Mr. Charles Jacobs of Dillon, SC, Mr. Artis Cummings of Lumberton, Mr. J. T. Jacobs of Pembroke and Mr. Stevie Jacobs of Fayetteville; ten sisters: Ms. Pandora Barnett of Georgia, Ms. Frances Locklear of Raeford, Ms. Windola Clark, Ms. Zola Collins and Ms. Diane Bullard all of Maxton, Ms. Scaritha Locklear of Rennert, Ms. Freda Smith, Ms. Barbara Locklear, Ms. Sandra Cummings and Ms. Patricia Deese all of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 12, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
