Ms. Mable Hunt, 88, of 1217 Hwy 710 South, was born November 14, 1921 and died, Thursday, December 24, 2009, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Allen & Mrs. Betty Brooks Hunt; seven sisters: Ms. Josephine Hunt, Ms. Lorraine Hunt, Ms. Flora E. Oxendine, Ms. Mary M. Hunt, Ms. Velma Dee Locklear, Ms. Attie Mae Hunt and Baby Hunt; seven brothers: Mr. John Stanton Hunt, Mr. William V. “Bo” Hunt, Mr. Clifton “Cliff” Hunt, Mr. Wade B. Hunt, Mr. Howard Hunt , Mr. Kasey Hunt and Mr. George C. Hunt.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: Bobby Burns and Dalton Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery.
Surviving are four sisters: Ms. Eula Hunt of the home, Mrs. Catherine Walker, Mrs. Aileen Oxendine both of Rowland and Mrs. Irene Locklear of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 26, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
