Obituaries

Mr. Samuel Dimery                                      Lumberton      Mr. Samuel Dimery, 59, of 5224 US Hwy 74 West, was born May 31, 1951 to the late Mr. Luther E. Dimery and Mrs. Margaret Brayboy Dimery, and died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Southeastern Hospice House.  He was also preceded in death by his sister: Ms. Peggy L. Dimery and a brother: Mr. Luther E. Dimery, Jr.      Mr. Dimery was employed by Pilkington of Laurinburg as an electrician for 30 years.  He was a member of Deep Branch Missionary Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon.      The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Deep Branch Baptist Church with the Revs:  Thomas Oxendine and Dr. Glenn Harris officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.      Mr. Dimery leaves to cherish his memories; his wife: Mrs. Paulann B. Dimery; a daughter: Ms. Cassonia Dimery and a son: Mr. Samuel Chase Dimery all of the home; two sisters: Mrs. Faye Strickland and husband: Mr. William and Ms. Esther D. Maynor both of Pembroke; two brothers: Mr. Terry Dimery and wife: Mrs. Theresa of Lumberton and Mr. Ricky Dimery and wife: Mrs. Cindy of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.      The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Locklear and Son Funeral Home.
