Mrs. Delorse Cummings, 61, of 183 Quite Lane, was born October 7, 1947 and died, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Hayworth Cummings and Ms. Cletis Hunt; a daughter: Ms. Lisa C. Dial and a sister: Ms. Sherri Lynn Locklear.
The funeral will be conducted 4 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2009, at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church with the Revs: Andrew Smith, Hilton Woodell, Dannie Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband: Mr. David L. Cummings of the home; one son: Mr. Terry Cummings of Pembroke; a daughter: Mrs. Tammie C. Paul of Lumberton; step-mother: Mrs. Ann Cummings of Pembroke; one brother: Mr. Dwayne Cummings of Pembroke; four half-brothers: Mr. David J. Cummings of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Mr. Troy Cummings of Pembroke, Mr. Gabriel Cummings of Pembroke and Mr. Carl Oxendine of Spartanburg, SC; step-sister: Ms. Gwen Locklear of Pembroke; half-sister: Mrs. Annette Jones of Lumberton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
