Mrs. Martha L. (Diddle) Crews, 76, of 349 Macie St., Pembroke, was born March 13, 1931 and died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jimmy Lowery and Allie Locklear Lowery; a son: Jimmy Lowery; a daughter who died at birth; grandparents: Redmond Locklear and Molly Locklear; two brothers: Boot Lowery and Tooly Lowery; two sisters: Lee A. Beltch and Macie Oxendine.
The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: Dean Carter and Bertha Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Beltch and Lowery Family Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband: Harry W. Crews; a son: Redmond Locklear; two daughters: Molly M. Locklear and Brenda Bullard; two sisters: Dallie Tyner and Molly Bell Smith; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2008, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
