Little Miss Marina AnaKova Chavis, 4 months, was born November 10, 2006 and died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at her home. She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents: Japeth & Ethel Lee Locklear and Robert L. Chavis.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Benson Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs: Timmie Chavis, Timmy Hunt and Hubbard Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Benson Chapel Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her parents: Jennifer Lynn Lewis & Joshua Clay Chavis; a sister: Kierra Rikkell Sampson; maternal grandparents: Gloria H. Lewis & Randy L. Lewis; paternal grandparents: Henry Clay & Jo Ann Chavis; maternal great-grandparents: Macy H. Hunt & Donnie L. Hunt and Haywood & Adell Lewis; paternal great-grandmother: Lucy D. Chavis; aunts: Teena M. Lewis and Dezia Jo Chavis; uncles: Jonathan L. Hunt, James Aaron Lewis, Trevor S. Lewis, Timothy R. Lewis and Ethan T. Chavis and a host of cousins, relatives and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 17, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
