Ms. Dorothy “Dot” Oxendine Carter, 51, of 1284 NC 710 South, was born July 31, 1956 and died, Tuesday, August 7, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father: Daniel Wesley Oxendine and her grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Allen Hunt and Mr. & Mrs. Lacy Lee Oxendine.
The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Willard’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs: Alan Locklear, Jimmy Strickland and Donnie Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery.
Surviving are her sons: Wesley Oxendine, Lannes Carter, Jr. and Michael Carter all of Rowland; a sister: Debra Oxendine Strickland and her husband: Harry of Rowland; a brother: Darwin A. Oxendine of Rowland; her mother: Alaine Hunt Oxendine; her beloved aunts: Lorriane Hunt, Mable Hunt and Eula Hunt all of Rowland.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2007, form 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
