Ms. Rhonda Gail Brooks, 52, of 234 State Street, Detroit, MI, formerly of Robeson County, was born March 19, 2957 and died Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her mother: Billie Mae Brooks and her paternal grandparents: Dougald & Pearl Brooks.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: Tim Holden & Kevin Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Bakers Chapel Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her father & step-mother: Howard & Virginia Brooks of Maxton; two brothers: Howard J. “Sonny” Brooks and his wife: Ginger of Bennettsville, SC and Milas “Butch” Wedmer and his wife: Cora of Maxton; three sisters: Jewell Scott and her husband: Willie of Lumberton, Holly Hill of Detroit, MI and Carol Graham of Raynham; three aunts: Evelyn Locklear, Maude Thompson both of Maxton and Annie Pearl Locklear of Pembroke; a special friend: Cindy locklear of Maxton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 1, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
