Ms. Mary Temple Brayboy was born October 19, 1939 and passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Huron G. & Mrs. Attelia Graham Brayboy.
The funeral will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Sandy Plains United Methodist Church with the Revs: Matthue Locklear, Robert Mangum & Cliff Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anna Church Cemetery.
In 1959 Temple became a patient at the Caswell Center in Kinston, NC. She was surrounded by wonderful caregivers. For the last thirteen years she had a foster grandmother, who sat with her every day, Mrs. Sadie Reece. This lady was truly sent by God to the Caswell Center.
Ms. Brayboy is survived by a brother: Mr. Hampton C. Brayboy; two sisters: Mrs. Patsy B. Baker and Mrs. Joy B. Locklear all of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 1, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
