Fairmont
Ms. Gladys Barnes, age 83, of 2449 Pleasant Hope Road, was born December 5, 1923 and died, Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Ezra & Mrs. Retha Locklear Barnes.
The funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at New Bethel Methodist Church with the Revs: Richard Barnes, Crafton Chavis and James H. Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery on Deep Branch Road.
Surviving are a son: Larry Barnes of Fairmont; two daughters: Doris B. Cohen of King of Prussia, PA and Dorothy Sanderson of Fairmont; a sister: Alice Jacobs of Pembroke; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Monday, August 27, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
